All sorts of varieties of Tsingtao beer, but this one in the green bottle is the one you see most.

We had this tofu, which was wonderful. It was like eating cake or something

Tried out some gift certificates for this hotel. We had some nice chinese food and then dessert.

New and old buildings in Qingdao

In many parts of Qingdao you see very old buildings side by side with new commercial or apartment complexes. There are also temporary housing (usually mobile homes) put up for construction workers.

There is a beach boardwalk in Qingdao that is suitable for walking or for biking. There are also huge dancing classes by the beach as well.

Rollerskating in Qingdao

In Taidong walking area you can rollerskate. They rent you the rollerskates (old kind with four wheels and you can skate until they close. The price was 20 yuan

On the bus In Qingdao my daily bus fare is 1 yuan, trip takes anywhere from 30 to 45 minutes......

Taidong 1st road walking market Lots of shopping here, Walmart, hairdressers (two haircuts for 65 yuan), good street food too.

Vanguard Plaza, that might be the name. Located in Laoshan district, it has a Uniqlo, Vanguard, McDonald's, not very crowded either!
